How Intramural Sports Can Make You Feel Like a Kid Again

With pressure from school, work, and other obligations, it is easy for college students to feel like they are growing up way too fast.

Busy days and low motivation make it too easy to fall into an “all work and no play” routine.

While school is important, sometimes we all need to remind ourselves that we still have to make the most of our years here at Auburn. One great way to step out of your comfort zone is to register to play intramural sports.

Campus Recreation offers a TON of intramural sports like flag football, kickball, soccer, volleyball, and many more! Playing intramural sports allows you to burn off all of your pent-up energy from working hard in the classroom all week. This is a great way to let off some steam and run around for a little bit. Intramurals combine hanging out with your friends and physical activity to create a perfect break from all your hard work, and it’s a great way to meet new people that may have similar interests.

Intramural sports are a great way to casually play sports that you want to play, as all skill levels are welcome. Playing intramural sports will bring back the childhood feeling of a backyard football game or the nostalgia of playing kickball on your elementary school playground. The small moments from these games will go a long way in balancing your time between work and play and give you the feeling of being a kid again.

Season 1 registration is open for IM ultimate, racquetball singles, basketball, and basketball practice games. Register here and #FindYourFit.

Be well, Auburn.
