Auburn University's Most Nappable Places

Need a nap? Here are Cassie's top places to catch some z's on campus.


Have you ever been so exhausted that you didn’t think you could make it home from campus? Or maybe you had a small break but not enough time to leave campus before having to get back? For the times you want a nap right then and there, I have the solution: nap on campus. Where, you might ask? Well, here are a few prime locations:

A Friend’s Dorm

If you’re lucky, one of your friends lives on campus, so briefly crash at their place. Even if it means sleeping on the floor, at least you get some shut-eye and some privacy. Maybe they even own a comfy rug or sofa. Don’t have a friend who lives on campus? I bet you do. But if you don’t, make some, and reap the benefits!

Any Booth

Auburn has a plethora of booths spread throughout campus. Made to fit large groups of people, they also give a great length for sprawling,

RBD

Since our library is no stranger to people pulling all-nighters, expect little to no judgement if you choose to snooze here. 

Random Sofas

Auburn has sofas in various buildings across campus. If you scout them out, you’ll find the comfiest of them. Needless to say, these provide the perfect level of napping comfort.

Quiet Section of the Student Center

The third floor of the student center has a quiet section, which will prevent noise distraction during your siesta. Also, the comfortable chair pods make for a great napping station. They’re in a relatively private area if you don’t want the whole campus watching you sleep. Just make sure you don’t snore—remember, it’s the quiet section.

Here, at The Rec

Plot twist: The Rec has more “nappable” locations than maybe anywhere else on campus. It’s full of sofas, booths and comfy chairs on every floor. The Game Room provides particularly comfortable and long sofas. Make sure the room is empty, unless you enjoy sleeping over the sound of bouncing ping-pong balls. If you’re feeling really creative, you could grab a mat typically used for ab workouts and make it your temporary bed.


So next time you’re exhausted and have a small break, make the most of campus and catch up on some z’s here!
