The 75 Soft Challenge: The Latest Viral Fitness Trend

I am always on the lookout for ways to improve my overall well-being. I feel like I can continuously improve in some way, whether physically or mentally. I was actually scrolling on TikTok when I stumbled upon a challenge called “75 Soft” which is a revision of the “75 Hard” challenge.

 What Is It?

75 Hard was created by Andy Frisella in 2019. It was created to strengthen your mental health and self-discipline but comes with some pretty strict guidelines. For 75 Hard, you must…

  • Eat only healthy food

  • Do 45 minutes workouts, twice a day

  • Drink a gallon of water

  • Read 10 pages of motivational nonfiction

  • Take a progress picture every day

 How Does It Work?

The biggest rule is that if anything is not completed daily, you must start over from day one. Although some people love extreme challenges to push themselves, this is very impractical for most people to accomplish without any setbacks. Consequently, 75 Soft was created as a rendition of the prior, with more obtainable guidelines. Instead of the traditional five rules, 75 Soft incorporates four rules that are more realistic, and more forgiving. For 75 Soft, you must…

  • Eat healthy foods 90% of the time

  • Workout 45 minutes a day (can be anything active)

  • Drink three liters of water

  • Read ten pages of any book a day

What If I Make a Mistake?

Even if you make a mistake, such as failing to eat a healthy meal or missing a workout, there is no restarting required. For me, my overall well-being could be drastically improved with the 75 Soft challenge. I plan to start 75 Soft for multiple reasons, and some that may also convince others to tackle the challenge too!

The Benefits

Currently, I feel that I do not drink enough water, but with three liters being a rule, I have something to keep me accountable. Eating healthy 90% of the time is something I would like to try in order to observe how my energy levels improve. And finally, reading ten pages a day will be very beneficial to my mental health as I have never voluntarily been a big reader.

I have many goals that I hope to accomplish after 75 Soft. I would initially like to create a habit of healthy eating, hydrating, and reading. Aside from the literal habits, I would like to gain self-discipline and the ability to accomplish anything I set my mind to! I hope to become the best version of myself through this challenge.

75 Soft is not just a fitness challenge, but a challenge that will increase both your physical and mental toughness!

Stay tuned for future posts where I will reveal my results.
