Why You Should Cook with Your Friends

We all have busy schedules, but especially during the holidays. It is important to dedicate some time to self-care. What better self-care than cooking with your friends!

The Act of Cooking

Cooking is the perfect time to take a moment to enjoy the process. That process is even better when shared with friends. Cooking together strengthens your relationships because you all work toward a common goal. Taking turns throughout the process allows everyone to pitch in. Cooking with your friends is also a great way to communicate. Whether that is through following recipes or chatting about your week, cooking allows for conversation to flow naturally.

Sharing a Meal Together

Grab a plate and gather! Spending time together catching up, telling stories, and enjoying the food you all helped prepare is the perfect way to end a day. Sharing a meal is a large part of many cultures, but has slowly disappeared with the rise of technology. This time is perfect to put your phone away and just enjoy your friends' company!

Making New Traditions

Even if you can't do it often, making time to share a meal together will definitely be your new favorite tradition. Many people gather around this time of year for Thanksgiving or the alternative, Friendsgiving. It doesn't need to be for a holiday— making a meal together “just because” makes it even more special… in my opinion. Making a point to connect and spend time with others is important and will create lasting memories.

The holidays can be hectic, but it's important to appreciate the simpler things. Happy holidays and…
