You Miss 100% of the (Wellness) Shots You Don't Take

Drinking a tall glass of green juice is fun, but you know what’s more fun? Taking a shot of it.

That’s right, pressed juice now comes in shot form. It’s the wellness trend we never knew we needed, but we’re so glad it’s a thing. Keep reading for some FAQs on this recent juicing trend.

What in the world is a wellness shot?

Wellness shots are tiny portions of pressed juice that are meant to be consumed (you guessed it) like a shot. These are good-for-you shots though, rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

What kinds are there?

The better question is: What kinds aren’t there? There’s a wellness shot for pretty much everything - immunity, digestion, liver health, energy, hydration, inflammation, the list goes on.

Each shot has different ingredients that target a specific issue or give you superfood supplements. It’s important to note that while an immunity shot isn’t a replacement for cold medicine, it can help give you a little vitamin boost to keep you going throughout the day.

How do they taste?

It depends. I haven’t loved the taste of any of the ones I’ve tried, but I appreciate that it’s so easy to get tons of nutrients in one sip. The pros outweigh the cons for me.

Some wellness shots are easier to knock back than others, but that’s the beauty of it! Rather than nursing your pressed juice that tastes like earth, you can get all the same benefits in one big gulp.

I’m sold. Where do I get one?

Lucky for us, there are a few places to get wellness shots around Auburn. You can pick some up at Juice Bar or the refrigerator sections of Target and Kroger. If you’d rather stock up on some shots from the comfort of your couch, Amazon sells them too.
