Hey Day Holiday

Looking for the perfect tradition this holiday season?

Check out “Hey Day Holiday!” Hey Day Market is hosting festive holiday activities for the first time this year, and they will continue for years to come!

Ice Skating

Ice skating is offered as a temporary addition built on top of the greenspace between the Rane Culinary Center and Hey Day Market! All ages can participate at $15 for adults and $8 for kids with a $5 skate rental for one hour. The rink will be up and running for the whole winter season from 12 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. daily! Sign up here!

Lighting of the tree

As if ice skating isn't exciting enough, there is also a 24-foot-tall Christmas tree as a centerpiece for all the events happening for Hey Day Holiday. On November 24th, the day right after Thanksgiving, the “lighting of the tree” took place as a kickstart into the Christmas season! It remains lit for the remainder of this special time of year. The tree makes for a great photo opp and sets the tone for these events!

Gingerbread Village

Auburn’s Gingerbread Village goes live at 3 p.m. for guests to admire, right after Auburn’s annual Christmas parade happening at 2 p.m. This gingerbread village features various buildings from around campus, and each gingerbread configuration is put together and decorated professionally to ensure that this village is one to impress.

Snowfall

Having a white Christmas in the South is hard to come by (unless you visit Toomer’s after an Auburn win, of course.) However, each day during the winter season, a snowfall will happen for 10 minutes at 5 p.m. from the roof of Hey Day Market. When the snow falls, it feels like something out of a movie!

Hey Day Holiday is an exciting addition to Auburn’s festivities! Check out Hey Day Market’s website for more information, and…
