Valentine's Night In

Get your taste buds ready! These bites are sure to wow!

These Valentine’s Day-themed foods will take you on a delightful culinary journey. Elevate your Valentine’s Day by spending quality time with your significant other at home. I hand-picked this menu full of heart-shaped foods and yummy eats. This three-course menu showcases an appetizer, main course, and two desserts. Customize this menu to your liking or leave it how it is!

Caprese Skewers

Ingredients:

  • Cherry tomatoes

  • Mozzarella cheese

  • Basil

  • Balsamic reduction

  • Toothpicks

Cut the tomatoes at a steep angle to form the heart. Poke the toothpick through the tomatoes, then add the cheese and basil. Now they are ready to serve for the perfect date night appetizer!

Heart-Shaped Pizza

Ingredients:

  • Pizza dough

  • Pizza sauce

  • Mozzarella cheese

  • Preferred toppings (I used rotisserie chicken, pepperoni, Italian seasoning, and fresh mozzarella balls)

Shape the dough into a heart by cutting it diagonally and putting the two pieces together. Cook your pizza (about 6 minutes or according to the directions) before adding toppings. Once the toppings are added, finish cooking the pizza till done. Cut into pieces and serve!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Ingredients:

  • Melting chocolate

  • Strawberries

  • Sprinkles

This is my favorite treat of the date! The chocolate-covered strawberries are always my go-to this time of year. Microwave the chocolate according to the package directions. Dip the strawberries in the melted chocolate and decorate with sprinkles!

Strawberry Cake Cookies

Ingredients:

  • Strawberry cake mix

  • Vegetable oil

  • Two large eggs

  • Sprinkles

This is the easiest recipe for making cookies from scratch. First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then mix strawberry cake mix, ½ cup of vegetable oil, and two large eggs. I followed the suggestion of putting the batter into the fridge for 15 minutes to allow for a better scoop. Next, scoop the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake the cookies for 9-11 minutes or until set. Take the cookies out before they brown!

Enjoy these love-ly sweets, and…
