The Edge: Auburn’s New Thrilling Dining Experience

Auburn’s new dining hall, The Edge, recently opened in August and has been a tremendous hit where students and staff fuel their bodies with fresh, delicious food.

It is an incredible venue to sit and chat with friends, interact with other students, and enjoy the endless food options. You can even study in private study rooms that are able to be reserved. The new dining concept has far exceeded expectations. With lines reaching one hundred people, everyone is eager to experience this new addition to Auburn’s campus.

Nine Stations, Oh My!

The Edge offers nine unique stations ranging from an allergen station to pasta and pizza— there is truly something for everyone. The salad bar is a great way to get your greens in and customize your plate. There’s also a cereal bar offered all-day. Who doesn’t love breakfast for dinner?  The dessert station has been a fan favorite, and the soft-serve ice cream machine continues to be a hit. If you are not an ice cream fan, other desserts are offered, including vegan options. These desserts change each day, but it is a fun motivator to try new things.

In a Rush? No Problem.

The hours are great and accommodate students who are struggling to find food in between classes or late in the evening. If you are in a rush to get to class, simply grab one of the to-go boxes offered at The Edge. If you need to eat dinner a bit later than usual, The Edge is open until 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. You can find up-to-date information regarding The Edge’s hours and menus here or on the Tiger Dining Instagram page.

 Themed Nights are Widely Favored.

The fun events offered at the dining halls are always a hit with students. Whether it is Breakfast for Dinner or Fiesta Lunch, everyone is eager to be a part of the special event. Personally, my favorite was the Carnival Night that was held at Tiger Zone during Fall 2020. They offered everything you could imagine: balloon animals, cotton candy, dinner plates inspired by the theme, and Aubie even made an appearance.

The Edge has been a great addition to my campus dining experience at Auburn. Personally, I’m always looking forward to the themed events held at each dining hall. If you are looking for something to do for dinner, check out Campus Dish to find all the upcoming events and menus!

Be well, Auburn.
