Valentine's Day DIY Gifts

Valentine’s Day is an excellent way to bring a smile to your loved one’s face and show them how much they mean to you.

From experience, simple gifts go a long way and can brighten someone's day. If you are a last-minute gift giver or are looking for a do-it-yourself gift for your Valentine (or Galentine), I’ve got the best ideas for you! These ideas are simple, easy, and affordable, and will surely make that special someone feel loved this Valentine's Day.

“You make my heart pop!”

This option is super quick and affordable. All you will need is a bag of popcorn, a note card, and tape or a ribbon to attach the Valentine card. Pro-tip: pop the popcorn together and enjoy a movie night!

Mason Jar Valentine

Grab a mason jar and some candy and create multiple different punny gifts! For chocolate lovers, use Hershey kisses and label your valentine's card “Kisses from me to you!” If your valentine is a fan of sweet and sour candy, you can opt to use gummy bears, saying “Life without you is unbearable!” Another sweet option is to use Starburst, and message the card with “You make my heart burst!”

“I love you a latte!”

For this idea, you can personally order them a coffee, or you could purchase them a gift card that they can use whenever they need a pick-me-up. Personally, coffee is the way to my heart!

“You are a cut above the rest!”

Purchase heart-shaped cookie cutters for your valentine and attach a card that says, “You are a cut above the rest!” You can DIY the card, or a printable version can be found HERE. This option is a great practical gift idea, and it is something that can be enjoyed for years to come. You can put the cookie cutters to good use and have a night of baking together!

Valentine’s Day can be celebrated in many different ways, but these are a few of my simple tips and tricks to spread love.

Born and raised in the small town of Clanton, Alabama, Lydia grew up eating peaches and cheering on the Auburn Tigers. Lydia’s parents are Auburn alumni, and they claim they began “brainwashing” her and her twin into attending Auburn University at an early age.

Lydia is a junior studying Business Marketing. Upon graduation, she hopes to live somewhere in the beloved south and work in the jewelry industry.

When she is not working or attending class, you can find her taking long power walks around Auburn, attending a workout class, or watching Wheel of Fortune.

Her favorite things include Starbucks, Hokas, her family, and her Apple Watch. Lydia’s goal for her remaining years at Auburn University is to continue growing as a person so she can become the best version of herself and serve those around her to the best of her ability.
