Where To Take Your Dad For Father's Day

Where To Take Your Dad For Father's Day

Father’s Day is the perfect opportunity to treat your dad to some relaxing and fun experiences.

I’m sure he would appreciate any small gesture, but here are some great places to take your dad for Father’s Day on June 15.

Chewacla

If you’re looking for a nature-filled day that’s just around the corner, Chewacla is the perfect place to take your dad for Father’s Day. If your dad is anything like mine, he loves to be outside and experience nature, so Chewacla is a great place to give him some fresh air. Take a hike through the trails or hop in the water for a cool off. You can also bring a blanket and some snacks and have a celebratory picnic! Bring the whole family for a bonding day in honor of your dad.

Dinner

A classic evening at dinner to celebrate your dad is never a bad idea. There are several places around Auburn that would be great for a Father’s Day dinner:

Lucy’s or Hamilton’s

  • These are great options if you are looking for a fancier evening!

Niffer’s Place

  • This is one of my dad’s favorites. It has a chill vibe, and the food is incredible!

Another Broken Egg

  • If you’re wanting a brunch instead, Another Broken Egg has the best food and such a fun environment.

Taco Mama

  • Taco Mama is always a classic here in Auburn. It’s such a good vibe, and they never miss with the food. Tacos are always a go-to for my family!

Take Him to See His Favorite Game

My dad is a HUGE Braves fan. When my sister and I were younger, we would always enjoy a day in the ballpark with him on Father’s Day, and it meant the world. Consider taking your dad to his favorite game or surprising him with tickets if his sport isn’t in season yet. A day at a game is the ideal “Dad Day” and would be the perfect way to celebrate Father’s Day this year.

Go Bowling

I don’t know about you, but my dad LOVES to bowl. I know this Father’s Day, I’ll be at the nearest bowling alley. Even if your dad isn’t the biggest fan, bowling can be one of the best family activities. Create a little competition and see who can come out on top. Or let your dad win… it is his special day after all.

Take the Time to Go Visit Him

As college students, a lot of us don’t see our parents very often. I am lucky enough to see mine most weekends, but not everyone can travel that much. Take Father’s Day to simply visit your dad. Even if you don’t go anywhere with him, just taking the time to hang after not seeing him for a while can go a long way. Most dads don’t care for expensive things or experiences – they simply want quality time with their kids.

Whether you make it a big celebration or a quiet family day, Father’s Day is the best time of year to celebrate your dad and all he does for your family. Consider these options this June 15 and give your dad a day celebrating family he’ll remember for a lifetime.

Be Well, Auburn.

Molly was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. Despite a family full of Alabama fans, a brief tour of Auburn’s campus captivated her heart, and she soon embraced the vibrant atmosphere and welcoming community. Initially unsure of her path, Molly began her college career as a journalism major. After one year at an SEC school, however, she quickly discovered her passion for sports, specifically basketball. Now a sports production major, she hopes to work with Auburn Athletics following graduation.

When she's not busy with work or classes, you can find Molly at a basketball or soccer game, enjoying a movie marathon, spending time with her close friends, or driving down the road to visit her parents. In the next few years, Molly aims to remain involved on campus and continue to learn all she can about the sports industry... and, of course, graduate!
