Spending Your Summer In Auburn? Here Is Everything You Need To know.

I spent last year in Auburn and found many ways to keep myself entertained throughout the summer making countless memories. If you’re taking classes, working a job, or just enjoying your time on the plains there are plenty of things to do on the Plains to have a memorable summer.

The Rec + Pool

As long as you are enrolled in a summer class, you have access to the beautiful rec center on campus. The pool is open every day and is a great spot to get some sun, play in the water, and catch up with friends. The Rec is also a great spot to work out and spend a part of your day.

 Day Trip to Lake Martin

If you have a chance to go to Lake Martin during the summer, have fun and go. You can ride jet skis, go on a boat, or just hang out in the water. Lake Martin is a great spot to go have fun and make some summer memories.

Kiesel Park

Summer days are beautiful and there is nothing better than getting outside and walking. Kiesel Park is a 2 ¼ mile trail where you can walk a dog or go walking with friends. Kiesel Park is where I would go on the weekends to get outside and clear my head.

Shopping at Tiger Town

Tiger Town in Opelika is an outside mall that has plenty of shops and restaurants. You can spend a few hours here and go shopping with friends, family, or by yourself. This is a great spot to get outside and enjoy shopping.

Most students go home for the summer so Auburn is a place that will not be crowded at all and a lot of fun. If you are staying in Auburn this summer, consider going to the few places I mentioned!

Be Well, Auburn.

Andrew was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but spent most of his childhood growing up in Spanish Fort, Alabama. For most of his life, he was a huge Georgia fan until coming to Auburn. It didn’t take long for Andrew to fall in love with the campus and become a lifelong Auburn fan.

Andrew is a Sophomore studying accounting at the Harbert College of Business. He hopes to get his masters in accounting and a minor in finance. Outside of class, he likes to play basketball, spend time with his friends, and cheer on his favorite sports teams.

After Auburn, Andrew hopes to pursue accounting with a firm and eventually have season tickets with the Atlanta Braves or with Auburn football.
