Slow and Steady: Don't Kill Your Comeback

Slow and Steady: Don't Kill Your Comeback

Many of us who were once frequent gym-goers — even going so far as to call ourselves "athletes" — now feel active if we opt for the stairs rather than the elevator.

Confession time: this was my plight last semester.

Because we have experienced being in shape, it’s easy to want to jump back into activity at the same level as before.

Confession time, second edition: I did just that. The results? Tendinitis.

You don’t want to limp from Hayley to Lowder. Trust me. When getting back into a fitness routine, don’t overdo it. Should you push yourself? Yes! But be aware of your limitations. Take it easy and before you know it, you'll be right back where you started!

Be well, Auburn.

Cassie studies public relations and marketing. She feels pretty #blessed she gets to tweet and blog in her studies and her job.

Personality? Cassie’s a mix of an ENFJ & ENFP. She has just enough "J" to keep her life together but enough "P" to keep things interesting. She’s pretty much always up for an adventure...unless it's nap time.

Cassie loves people, traveling, food…and most recently, running (it’s a love/hate relationship). If she’s not going from one meeting to another, you’ll probably find her circling The Rec’s track (entirely too many times) training for her next race.
